Job summary

Caliber Design is an engineering consultancy seeking a Regional Manager in Christchurch to lead our local team of 30+ engineers, strengthen client relationships and drive sustainable growth.

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the Christchurch region, oversee people, client relationships and financial performance, and collaborate with Senior Leaders to influence the wider business direction.

Qualifications

• Background in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Experience in business development, B2B sales or growing engineering client accounts.
• Ability to lead, coach and develop people.
• Organised, practical approach to balancing people, client and business priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop our people: Coach Team Leads, support engineers’ development and oversee recruitment, onboarding and performance reviews.
• Grow the business: Develop existing accounts, identify new clients and turn opportunities into successful secondments.
• Build lasting client relationships: Understand client needs, maintain regular site contact and act on feedback.
• Deliver regional results: Own the regional plan and manage revenue, profitability, productivity and resourcing.
• Maintain high standards: Champion Caliber’s values, engineering quality, continuous improvement and health and safety.
