Gourmet King BBQ Takeaway in Papakura, Auckland is hiring two full-time Chinese Cooks to join a progressive team. The ideal candidate should have 2 years of relevant experience or level 4+ in the field, be fit to work under pressure, and be able to work weekends, overtime, and late-night shifts.

Flexibility to manage two shifts is required. The role focuses on preparing Chinese cuisine to specification, maintaining recipes, temperatures, and quality, with attention to safety, hygiene, and timely

Qualifications

• 2 years relevant experience OR a level 4 or above relevant experience
• Be fit enough to work under pressure in a busy kitchen
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime
• Flexible to work late-night shifts and manage two shifts per day

Responsabilités

• Ensuring all Chinese Cuisine dishes are prepared to the specifications
• Ensuring all Chinese Cuisine recipes and preparation requirements are met
• Ensuring temperatures, seasonings and flavors are to specification
• Ensuring all foods are presented and served in a timely manner and in the correct sequence
• Ensuring the storage of foods and others meet statutory Health and Safety requirements
• Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
• Updating and developing new cooking techniques and procedures in accordance with the new menu
• General kitchen cleaning and hygiene duties
