Job summary

Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand seeks a experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join a leading tertiary hospital in Auckland. The role involves clinical leadership within the Child and Family Unit and inpatient adolescent services for ages 0–18, with emphasis on recovery-focused care and biocultural practice.

Responsibilities include supervising Registrars, House Officers and Students, and contributing to teaching, research and collaboration across the NZ mental health system.

Qualifications

• Experience and qualification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Sound knowledge of NZ mental health field including relevant legislation.
• 5 years clinical practice in Mental Health.
• Commitment for biocultural practice.
• High standard of verbal and written communication.
• FRANZCP or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and contribute to the professional development of Registrars, House Officers and Students.
• Provide clinical leadership within the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry service and inpatient unit.
