Job summary

Id Medical is seeking a Child Psychiatrist to join a tertiary hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. The role focuses on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry within an inpatient and family-centered service for patients aged 0–18, including a Mother and Baby unit.

Qualifications

• Experience and qualification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Excellent working knowledge of the NZ mental health field including relevant legislation.
• 5 years clinical practice in Mental Health.
• Commitment for biocultural practice.
• Sound understanding and commitment to recovery principals.
• High standard of verbal and written communication.
• PC literacy.
• FRANZCP or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric services for CAMH in the Child and Family Unit and adolescent mental health inpatient unit.
• Supervise Registrars, House Officers and Students.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the service.
• Support teaching and training within the unit.
