Job summary

Auckland, New Zealand – leading tertiary hospital seeks an experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join as a Senior Medical Officer. The role involves contributing to professional development and supervision of Registrars, House Officers, and Students within the Child and Family Unit and adolescent mental health services for ages 0–18 and their families.

We prefer someone already registered or eligible for Locum Tenens and committed to being in New Zealand in January.

Qualifications

• Experience and qualification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Excellent working knowledge of the NZ mental health field including relevant legislation.
• 5 years clinical practice in Mental Health.
• Commitment for biocultural practice.
• Sound understanding and commitment to recovery principles.
• High standard of verbal and written communication.
• PC literacy.
• FRANZCP or Equivalent.
