Placements24 is assisting a renowned cultural institution in locating an experienced Senior Director of Marketing & Communications in Queenstown, NZ. This leadership role drives integrated marketing, PR, digital media, and content strategy to elevate brand visibility and community reach.

The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years in marketing/communications, with 5+ years in senior leadership, and a strong track record in the arts or non-profit sector.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in marketing and communications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven success in developing and executing impactful marketing campaigns and communication strategies.
• Expertise in digital marketing, social media, PR, and content creation.
• Strong understanding of brand management and audience development principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated marketing and communication plans to promote programs, events, and initiatives.
• Oversee brand management with consistent messaging and visual identity across platforms.
• Manage public relations, media outreach, press releases, and crisis communications.
• Lead digital marketing including social media, website content, email marketing, and SEO/SEM.
• Create marketing collateral and content (brochures, ads, videos, website copy).
• Analyze market trends and audience data to optimize campaign performance.
• Manage marketing and communications budget and resources.
• Lead and mentor the marketing and communications team.
• Build relationships with media, partners, and stakeholders.
