Job summary

Fullers360 is seeking a Head of Health, Safety and Risk to lead the H&S function across its ferry and bus operations, including Waiheke Bus Company. You will shape risk strategy, influence senior leaders and ensure regulatory compliance while championing practical, safe operations.

You’ll develop and review risk assessments, drive robust controls and mentor teams to maintain audit readiness and strong safety performance across busy peak periods.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in health and safety management, ideally in marine, passenger transport, logistics or safety‑critical operations.
• Ability to influence senior decisions and provide independent advice and assurance.
• Experience in people leadership, incident investigation and external stakeholder management.
• Design and implementation of practical risk frameworks, policies and health and safety processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Health and Safety function and shape risk strategy across Fullers360 and Waiheke Bus Company.
• Lead risk assessments, identify gaps, and implement practical controls with operational teams.
• Ensure audit readiness and translate findings into timely reports for leaders.
• Manage regulatory obligations and relationships with Maritime New Zealand, Auckland Transport and authorities.
• Provide sound judgement and a collaborative approach to keep people and passengers safe in a high tempo environment.
