Job summary

Placements24 seeks a dynamic Chemical Engineer with strong project management to oversee capital projects in Queenstown. You will manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and meeting safety and quality standards.

This role requires leadership to coordinate with engineering disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders, with a proven track record in delivering capital projects. Familiarity with MS Project or Primavera is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical project management or execution.
• Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Manage chemical engineering projects from concept through to commissioning.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, contractors, and vendors throughout project lifecycles.
• Ensure all projects comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present project status reports to senior management.
