Distinction Mackenzie Country Hotel, part of Distinction Hotels Group, is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie for the 2026/27 summer season in New Zealand. This fixed-term role runs 1 November 2026 to 31 May 2027, paying $32 per hour.

You will work closely with Head and Sous Chefs to manage your section, uphold high standards of food prep, presentation, hygiene and service, and support buffet operations. Apply if you have Level 4 Cookery qualification (or equivalent), kitchen experience as a Chef

Competenze

• Level 4 Cookery qualification or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role.
• Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
• Reliable, organised and able to work well under pressure.
• A positive team player with a professional approach.
• Must be legally eligible to work in New Zealand for the duration of the contract.

Location

Distinction Mackenzie Country Hotel is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchen team for the 2026/27 summer season.

Fixed Term

1 November 2026 - 31 May 2027

$32 per hour

Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will be responsible for managing your designated section and ensuring consistently high standards of food preparation, presentation, hygiene, and service, with a strong focus on our buffet-style operation.
