Job summary

Hind Management, managing Sudima Kaikōura, is seeking a Chef de Partie for our new Hiku restaurant. The role offers a minimum 30 hours per week with a fixed rate of $28 per hour, based in Kaikōura. Join a team focused on quality, community, and memorable hospitality experiences.

We value creative cooks who can work collaboratively, manage varied shifts, and contribute to menu planning and events catering. Ideal candidates have at least three years in busy kitchens or NZQA diploma.

Qualifications

• Three years of relevant kitchen experience can substitute for formal qualifications.
• NZQA level 2 diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes across the restaurant and room service.
• Communicate dietary needs and adjustments with Managers and kitchen staff.
• Maintain food hygiene and safety standards.
• Plan menus and estimate food and labour costs; manage supply orders.
