Job summary

Staffing Agency Limited in Hastings, Hawke’s Bay, is seeking a Line Chef (Chef de Partie) to join a European cuisine kitchen. You will work as part of an experienced team, take responsibility for your section during service and support both restaurant and function service.

The role requires confidence in a fast-paced environment, a focus on quality, hygiene and consistent presentation. Responsibilities include preparing European-style dishes, running your section, delivering à la carte meals,

Qualifications

• Previous commercial kitchen experience
• Confident in an à la carte environment
• Experience with European cuisine or similar styles
• Ability to run a section independently
• Minimal training and supervision required

• Prepare and cook European-style dishes to a high standard
• Confidently manage your designated section during service
• Deliver consistent, high-quality à la carte meals
• Assist with preparation and service for functions and events
• Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
• Follow food safety and hygiene requirements
• Work efficiently during busy service periods
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workstation
• Work closely with the head Chef and wider kitchen team
• Quickly adapt to the restaurant’s menu and kitchen procedures

About the Role
