Job summary

Summerset Waikanae is seeking a dedicated Chef to join our team. This permanent part-time role supports resident meals, café service, and a varied cabinet selection, all while delivering nourishment and joy to our residents.

You will cook set meals for residents, handle cafe orders, contribute to a vibrant specials menu, and follow the Food Control Plan. Sunday to Tuesday, 7am to 3:30pm shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience as Cook or Chef in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Solid understanding of Food Safety Plans and procedures.
• Willingness to mentor colleagues and share culinary knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook set meals for residents.
• Cook short orders for café customers and deliver café items.
• Assist with creating a vibrant café specials menu.
• Ensure compliance with the approved Food Control Plan.
• Support kitchen team with cooking techniques and guidance.
