Job summary

Bendigo Health Care Group is seeking a Chef for our Aged Care Residential Services. The role involves preparing, cooking and baking meals for residents, planning seasonal menus, and guiding kitchen staff to ensure safe, high-quality meals.

A 2026 Flu vaccination and compliance with aged care standards are required. The position is fixed-term, part-time with 64 hours per fortnight, paying $37.44 per hour, and until March 2027.

Qualifications

• 2026 Flu Vaccination required.
• Sound understanding of aged care legislation and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Ability to plan and deliver well-balanced seasonal menus that meet residents’ nutritional needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and bake all meals for residents.

• Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards, cleaning protocols and accurate record-keeping.
