Job summary

Cater Plus is seeking a Catering Assistant to join the kitchen team in an aged care setting. The role is hands-on, assisting with food preparation, service, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

You will support the team in delivering meals that make a positive difference to residents’ daily lives. This permanent part-time position offers 20 hours per week per the weekly roster, with potential weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Reliable and able to follow instructions.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Experience in kitchen or food service is an advantage, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation and meal service
• Serving meals to residents in a friendly and respectful manner
• Dishwashing and cleaning duties
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe kitchen environment
• Following food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
• Supporting the cook and wider team as required
