Job summary

Fika Café & Bar in Cherrywood, Tauranga, is seeking a part-time chef to join our busy dinner service team. You’ll prepare and plate dishes from our established menu and work closely with the kitchen to ensure consistent quality and timely service.

This role suits someone with at least 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced kitchen, who stays calm under pressure, upholds high food safety standards, and contributes as a reliable team member.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy commercial kitchen.
• Ability to stay calm and organized under pressure.
• High standard of food preparation and presentation.

Part-Time Chef

Fika Café & Bar | Cherrywood, Tauranga

We're looking for an experienced chef to join our friendly kitchen team for our busy dinner services.

This is a part-time position working Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, with the opportunity for additional shifts covering leave or busy periods if you're also available for daytime café service.

We're also happy to hear from experienced chefs looking for casual work or independent contractors.

About the Role

You'll be preparing and plating dishes from our established menu, working alongside our kitchen team to deliver consistently great food and efficient service during busy dinner shifts.
