Job summary

New World Birkenhead is seeking a customer-focused, self-motivated team member to join our Checkout team on a full-time basis. You will handle checkout transactions efficiently and help provide a positive shopping experience.

Role includes 32.5 hours per week with fixed shifts on Tue 10:00am–7:30pm, Thu 11:00am–7:00pm, Fri 9:00am–5:00pm and Sat 9:30am–6:30pm. We value friendly, accurate service and teamwork, especially during the Christmas period.

• Accurate checkout transactions and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process checkout transactions accurately and promptly.
• Pack customers' orders at checkout.
• Maintain clean, hygienic work areas.
• Assist in other store areas as required.

Tuesday 10:00am to 7:30pm

Thursday 11:00am to 7:00pm

Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm

Saturday 9:30am to 6:30pm

It is important that we exceed our customers' expectations with friendly, efficient and accurate transactions at Checkout - therefore you must be a people person.

Checkout Responsibilities include;

• Ensuring that our customers get that customer service that is second-to-none
• Completing all checkout transactions accurately and timely
• Packing customers' orders at checkout
• Maintaining clean, tidy and hygienic work areas
• Assisting in other areas of our store as required

This role is a permanent role, and we require applicants who are available to work over the busy Christmas and New Year season and beyond.
