Job summary

New Zealand Post Group at Waikato Operations Centre is seeking a Charge Hand to sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight for couriers. You will operate a forklift for up to six hours per shift, following health and safety practices, and contribute to efficient parcel processing.

The role runs Monday to Friday with a 5:30–14:00 schedule. A valid forklift OSH certificate or F Endorsed Driver licence is required, along with a strong teamwork mindset and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Forklift OSH cert and/or F Endorsed Driver licence.
• Be available to work Monday to Friday 05:30 to 14:00.
• Committed to safety and teamwork.
• Physically able to lift up to 25 kg.
• Good geographical knowledge and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at Waikato Operations Centre.
• Drive a forklift for up to 6 hours per shift, adhering to safety protocols.

Our Charge Hand create the magic by sorting, consolidating and dispatching parcels and freight at Waikato Operations Centre- 1 Earthmover Cres site, ready for our couriers to deliver. We’re a lively bunch, with a diverse set of skills, but we all share one common goal - to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our beautiful Aotearoa. This role will see you driving a forklift for up to 6 hours per shift, so experience, professionalism and a focus on health and safety is a must.
