Job summary

BestStart Tawa South is seeking a passionate Cook to join our ECE centre in Wellington. You will prepare healthy meals and snacks for children, while upholding strict food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.

You will also manage supplies and dietary needs and work closely with our teaching team to support learning and wellbeing. This permanent, part-time role (32.5 hours/week, 7:30am–3:00pm, Monday to Friday) offers collaborative teamwork, opportunities for professional development, and the

Job description

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our ECE centre. You will be responsible for preparing fresh, nutritious, and child-friendly meals and snacks while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance. The successful candidate will have basic computer skills, be organised, manage food supplies and dietary requirements, and work collaboratively with the teaching team.

About the Role

This is a permanent, part-time position working 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 3pm. There may also be occasional opportunities to provide classroom support when needed.
