Job summary

Massey University - Te Kunenga Ki Pūrehuroa is seeking a Reliever Cook for our Kindercare North Shore Centres. This casual reliever role focuses on preparing nutritious vegetarian meals for children, with the possibility to work as a Reliever Teacher alongside the teaching team when needed.

The position offers daytime hours with no evenings or weekends, providing flexible work in a warm, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Competent in preparing and serving healthy vegetarian meals for children.
• Able to meet dietary and allergy requirements.
• Maintains high standards of kitchen cleanliness and food safety.
• Willing to perform light cleaning and laundry tasks as required.
• Demonstrates flexibility when working with different age groups.
• Organised and able to multitask effectively.
• Available to work up to 8 hours a day, often with short notice.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
• Willingness to undergo police vetting.

Are you a creative cook with a flair for healthy food, who also loves working directly with children? We are seeking a multi-talented individual to join our friendly teams at our Kindercare North Shore Centres in a flexible, casual reliever role.

This unique position allows you to step in as our Reliever Cook to prepare nutritious vegetarian meals, while also having the availability to work as a Reliever Teacher alongside our teaching team when needed. • Able to safely meet the specific dietary and allergy requirements of children.
• Committed to the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, food safety, and policies.
• Willing to take care of some light cleaning and laundry tasks as required.
• Flexibility and enthusiasm when working with different age groups.
• A cheerful multi-tasker with excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Flexibility to work up to 8 hours a day when needed, often at short notice or during school holidays.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
