Job summary

BestStart Education – Auckland, North Island is seeking a dedicated kitchen professional for a permanent role at BestStart Dannemora. The position is a full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, focused on preparing healthy meals for young children while upholding high hygiene standards.

You will design menus, place weekly orders, manage dietary requirements, and ensure meals stay within budget. The centre supports your career development with training and benefits, including health cover

Qualifications

• Knowledge around health and safety in the kitchen and set high standards of hygiene and housekeeping.
• Strong time-management and organisational skills.
• A passion for cooking and baking.
• An understanding of food safety, allergies and dietary requirements.
• Be computer literate in order to design menus and place orders each week and keep within budgets.
• A passion for promoting healthy eating for young children.
