Job summary

BestStart Dannemora in Auckland is seeking a permanent Kitchen Chef to support nutritious meals for our children. This 35-hour-per-week role runs Monday to Friday, emphasising hygiene, safety and menu planning.

You will design weekly menus, order within budget, and ensure food safety and dietary needs are met while promoting healthy eating.

• Knowledge around health and safety in the kitchen and set high standards of hygiene and housekeeping
• Strong time‑management and organisational skills.
• A passion for cooking and baking
• An understanding of food safety, allergies and dietary requirements
• Be computer literate in order to design menus and place orders each week
• The ability to remain within the budgets for ordering food
• A passion for promoting healthy eating for young children
