South Security in New Zealand is seeking a dedicated Monitoring Operator for part-time shifts focused on live CCTV monitoring and reviewing recorded footage to identify incidents and security breaches for clients.

The role requires weekend and two weekday availability, strong English writing, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with procedures. Training and ongoing support are provided.

This is a part-time position requiring availability on Saturdays, Sundays, and two additional weekdays. The successful applicant will be responsible for monitoring CCTV systems, reviewing recorded footage, identifying security incidents, and preparing accurate reports for our clients. The role involves both live CCTV monitoring and reviewing recorded footage to identify incidents, suspicious behaviour, and security breaches.

Key responsibilities

Review recorded CCTV footage to identify suspicious activities and security incidents.

Identify trespassing, theft, vandalism, illegal rubbish dumping, and other security breaches.

Respond appropriately to security alerts and camera-generated notifications.

Escalate incidents to management, security response teams, or emergency services when required.

Ensure CCTV monitoring systems are operating correctly and report technical faults.

Review and analyse recorded footage to identify incidents.

Prepare accurate daily and weekly CCTV incident reports for clients.

Document incidents with timestamps, descriptions, screenshots, and supporting video evidence.

Maintain accurate records of security events and monitoring activities.
