Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island Limited is seeking a Category Manager for Emerging & International to shape our International and Local ranges, collaborating with diverse suppliers and store teams to bring world-class products to life for New Zealand customers.

You will lead pricing, promotions, range changes and new product development while maintaining strong commercial performance and cultural insight in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High EQ and strong commercial thinking are essential for managing diverse supplier bases.
• Experience engaging with suppliers, owner-operators and stores to shape ranges.
• Ability to translate customer insights and market trends into assortments.

Responsibilities

• Support the category strategy for International and Local categories using customer insights and trends.
• Build trusted relationships with suppliers and owner operators to engage with stores.
• Shape ranges to reflect diverse communities and drive awareness across stores.
• Lead pricing, promotions, range changes, new product development and supplier plans with strong financial control.
• Deliver seasonal programmes and continually explore new ideas to enhance customer experience.
