Job summary

Bupa Care Services NZ Limited in Whangārei is seeking a Wellbeing Support Assistant to join our Household team. This casual role focuses on creating a comfortable and safe home environment for residents, through housekeeping, daily living support, and companionship in a modern retirement village at Tikipunga.

You will work with a supportive team to clean residents' apartments, tend community areas, assist with dressing, meals, and laundry, and help with medications reminders.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care, disability support, or community services preferred.
• 2+ years in a customer service or support role such as hospitality or home-based care.
• First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Reliable transport and legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.
• Able to work well both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide hygienic weekly cleaning of each resident's apartment to a high standard.
• Complete daily cleaning tasks for community areas.
• Provide daily bed making and weekly bed changing.
• Handle residents' laundry in a timely manner.
• Assist with dressing, personal hygiene, and meal deliveries.
• Support with medication reminders and filling prescriptions.
• Report faults and stock needs to the manager.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and safe chemical use.
• Treat residents with respect and dignity.
