Job summary

Bupa Crofton Downs Care Home in Wellington is seeking a Wellbeing Support Assistant to join our Household team. The role focuses on cleaning, daily living support, and companionship for residents in a modern care home setting.

Average 12 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday 8am–2pm. If you have 2+ years in service roles and a First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain), you’ll help residents live comfortably and safely while upholding Bupa’s values.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a customer service or support role such as hospitality, housekeeping, or home-based care.
• First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly cleaning of each resident’s apartment to a high standard.
• Complete daily cleaning tasks for community areas.
• Provide daily bed making and weekly bed changing services.
• Handle residents’ laundry promptly and securely.
• Assist with medications reminders and help with filling prescriptions.
• Assist with dressing, personal hygiene and meal deliveries.
• Support residents with companionship and general services they subscribe to.
• Report faults or supply needs to the manager and manage supplies to avoid wastage.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and safe chemical use/storage.
• Treat residents with respect and dignity.
