Job summary

Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology is seeking a Casual Visiting Lecturer to support ECE practicum placements across Bay of Plenty. You will visit diploma, bachelor, and master's students in early childhood settings and write detailed observation reports for each visit.

The role requires mentoring experience, a relevant degree, full NZ teacher registration, and ability to work across diverse cultures. Prior Bicultural knowledge is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience mentoring student teachers.
• Knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi and bicultural practice.
• Full New Zealand teacher registration (as permanent registration).
• Ability to work with diverse cultures in educational settings.
• 4+ years teaching experience in Early Childhood Education.

Responsibilities

• Visiting allocated students on practicum in a timely manner.
• Offer advice and support to students during visits.
• Participate in triadic discussions with students and Associate Teachers.
• Write observation reports on students.
