Job summary

Genius Early Years invites applications for a Casual Visiting Lecturer ECE Practicum Mentor. The role supports our home-based Educators with professional leadership, mentoring, and coaching across Waikato/BOP regions.

You will lead adults, travel to regions as needed, and help with programme planning and learning stories while maintaining strong communication with families and the Educator network.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Diploma of Teaching and NZ Education Council practising certificate.
• Experience in leading adults, including mentoring and coaching.
• Ability to travel around Waikato/BOP regions to support Educators.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership and support to our home-based Educators.
• Mentor and coach our Educators, Nannies and Au Pairs.
• Travel around Waikato/BOP regions to support the network of Educators and team.
• Assist with programme planning and learning stories, and support administrative tasks as needed.

Qualified, fully registered Early Childhood Education Teacher

Join our Home-Based Early Learning Service Team, as a Visiting Teacher.

If you are passionate about home-based childcare and enjoy Variety and Flexible working conditions in a fun environment, you will enjoy this role providing professional leadership and support to our in-home Educators.

This role is part time starting on 10 hours per week with the opportunity to increase as the network grows. This permanent part-time position would be based in the Waikato/BOP regions. The successful applicant would need to be prepared to travel around the regions to support our Educators and team.

Requirements

• an early childhood teaching qualification (minimum Diploma of Teaching)
• current full NZ Education Council practicing certificate
• experience in leading adults, including mentoring and coaching
• a full clean NZ driver's license.
• knowledge of professional practice in early childhood education
• understanding of Ministry of Education legislation.
• ability to juggle a varied workload
• excellent time management skills
• self-motivated and enthusiastic
• excellent verbal and written communication skills
• ability to build and maintain professional relationships
• experience with learning stories, programme planning and some administration.
• good computer skills.
