Job summary

Qjumpers in Gisborne, NZ invites a Lecturer in Early Childhood Education (0.4 FTE, part-time) to commence January 2027. You will deliver high-quality teaching and assessment for the Bachelor of Teaching (ECE), support learner success and contribute to programme development within the School of Education, Social Sciences and Veterinary Nursing.

The role requires NZ teacher registration, ECE experience, curriculum delivery capabilities and collaboration with staff and community partners.

Qualifications

A recognised teaching qualification.
Current New Zealand teacher registration, or eligibility to obtain registration.
Recent and relevant experience in Early Childhood Education.
Knowledge of current teaching, learning and assessment practices.
Experience in curriculum development and programme delivery.
Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills.
The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Competency with digital technologies used to support learning.
A postgraduate qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
