$29.95 - $32.47 per hour, depending on experience

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Telephonist, you will be responsible for:

  • answering internal and external calls
  • carrying out emergency procedures when required
  • documenting any faults in the phone system.

The calls you deal with will vary from emergency calls to general enquiries. You will be organised, able to complete data entry, and responsible for other administration duties associated with the department.

You will be covering the below shifts, with annual leave and sick leave when required:

7.30am - 3.30pm
8.00am - 4pm
9.30am - 6pm
3pm - 11pm
4pm - 12am
12am - 7.30pm

As a telephonist, you will be a key point of contact within the organisation and will need to demonstrate:

  • experience within a customer service or administration role and call centre (not essential but desirable)
  • basic computer knowledge, particularly with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • great interpersonal skills with the ability to listen actively and respond in a calm and considered manner
  • a positive attitude and team-focused approach to your work.
