Job summary

Ravensdown Taihape is seeking a casual Store Person to join our team. You will support store and yard operations, handle stock management using our system, and assist with soil testing as required. Training is provided for loading equipment, and you must be comfortable operating a tablet/computer.

Flexibility is valued for seasonal peaks, with occasional Saturday mornings. A drug-free workplace and pre-employment drug testing apply to the successful candidate.

Qualifications

• Strong Health & Safety focus and a safety-first attitude.
• Customer service experience and be a people person.
• Competent with computers or able to learn Ravensdown’s stock management system.
• Forklift/front-end loader operation desirable but not essential.
• Reasonable physical fitness and comfortable in yard environment.
• Ability to work as a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform general store/yard duties at Taihape Store.
• Use Ravensdown stock management and ordering system.
• Operate loader/front-end loader or forklift when required.
• Support the account manager with soil testing as needed.
• Maintain a safe, tidy, and compliant work area.
• Flexibly work hours, including occasional Saturday duties during peak periods.

About You:

We are looking for a casual Store Person to join our team at the Taihape Store. Your previous experience in a customer-focussed role along with general store/yard work will make you an ideal candidate.Being able to operate a front-end loader and forklift would be a nice to have however, we can provide the necessary training to see you succeed. You will be comfortable using a tablet/computer to use our stock management and ordering system. Occasionally, you will help the account manager with soil testing.

There are seasonal demands which require flexibility in the hours, including Saturday mornings by request in the peak periods. If you like the idea of an enjoyable career with like-minded people, while contributing to the growth of your local community, this is the perfect place to make it happen

Given the work environment and nature of the role, it's essential you're physically fit, and mechanically minded. You will also be comfortable at the controls of a loader and forklift.
