Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waikato District invites a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join us on a casual basis. The role supports hospital and community OT Services, with hours that vary week to week.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years OT experience in hospital or community settings, strong teamwork, and excellent communication. The position is fixed-term until February 2028, with shifts typically 7:30am–4:00pm, and some weekend work.

The role would provide support to our OT teams at Waikato Hospital and also cover our OTs at the rural hospitals and community bases. As this is a casual position, hours would vary week to week, including up to 40 hours per week on occasion. Hours of work typically are between 7:30am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday with some possible weekend shifts.
