Job summary

Access Community Health in Otago is seeking a Casual Experienced Support Worker to provide person-centered home-based care for tāngata, supporting daily living activities with respect for culture and values. You’ll receive comprehensive paid training, flexible hours, and travel time compensation.

If you’re compassionate, have a Level 3–4 health qualification, and hold a driver’s license, this role offers a clear pathway to growth.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification or have equivalent, relevant experience
• Spinal injury experience
• Stoma Management experience
• Experienced in the use of a full, standing and two-person hoist
• Experience administering prescribed medication
• Love working with people and helping them thrive
• Be willing to learn, reflect, and adapt your approach to what matters for each person
• Have experience in caregiving, disability support, aged care, community work, or other people-facing roles
• Committed to culturally safe, respectful support for people from all backgrounds
• Intuitive and responsive to people’s needs
• Own a smartphone
• Have the right to work in New Zealand
• Full/restricted driver’s license
