Job summary

Wise Group's Westella Homestead in rural New Zealand seeks a Casual Health Care Assistant to provide relief cover for a dementia care unit serving up to 26 residents. If you bring kindness, reliability and aroha for the elderly, we want to hear from you.

Role involves supporting a small, compassionate team with flexible, as-needed hours to cover planned and unplanned leave. A current driver’s licence and first aid certification are required, with NZCHW or equivalent qualification viewed

Qualifications

• Current full driver's licence.
• Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Flexible and available for varying shifts.
• Willing to work towards NZCHW or an equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide relief cover for permanent team members in dementia care.
• Support people living with dementia in a small, caring team.
• Gain experience, grow skills, and make a meaningful difference.
• Hours offered on an as-needed basis; operate 24/7 requiring flexibility.
