Job summary

R-Connect is seeking Healthcare Assistants for casual on-call assignments across various aged care facilities in the Christchurch region. You will be deployed to complete temporary assignments as needed, reporting to the charge nurse and supporting residents.

Applicants must be NZ citizens/residents or have open work conditions and hold a current NZ Driver's Licence. A NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Levels 3–4) and aged care experience are required.

Qualifications

• NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3 or 4 or equivalent.
• Aged care experience is required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Report to the charge nurse and complete delegated tasks promptly.
• Assist with residents' personal care (hygiene, grooming, toileting, shaving, teeth and hair care).
• Assist with mobilising residents.
