Job summary

Geneva Health seeks reliable support workers to join our casual pool for residential supported living facilities around Hastings. You will help clients engage in daily living activities and community participation.

This role supports social, emotional, and physical development while promoting safety and independence. Minimum 6 months experience in acute mental health or intellectual disability settings is required; CPI/NVCI/MAPA training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in an acute mental health or intellectual disability setting.
• Desirable: National Certificate in Mental Health Level 4 and/or NZ Health and Wellbeing Level 3 or 4.
• Proficiency with managing challenging behaviours (CPI/NVCI/MAPA).
• Experience with and willingness to perform personal cares.
• Full driver's license and ability to drive a manual vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Aiding clients in residential supported living and community to enable safer, more independent functioning.
• Assisting clients in social, emotional and physical daily life skills development.
• Recognising potentially dangerous situations and responding calmly and effectively.
