Job summary

The Salvation Army Wanaka Family Store is seeking a casual Family Store Assistant to join our friendly team in Wanaka. You will greet customers and donors, process sales, handle cash, and help keep the shop well presented and stocked. Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, is required in a busy high-stock environment.

Qualifications

Excellent customer service skills and sound judgement.
Ability to de-escalate situations and work under pressure.
Comfortable handling cash and working with retail tech.

Responsibilities

Providing excellent customer service to customers and donors.
Receiving, sorting, pricing and merchandising donated goods.
Processing sales and end-of-day cash up with accuracy.
Ensuring the store is well presented, stocked and tidy.
Complying with policies and health and safety procedures.
Contributing to a positive team culture and general duties.
