Job summary

The Salvation Army Queenstown Family Store is looking for a Casual Store Assistant who can deliver excellent service to customers and donors while assisting with stock processing and pricing. The role involves on-floor customer interactions and stock processing in a busy retail environment.

You will work as part of a friendly team, supporting store targets and maintaining a well-presented shop. Flexible hours and some holiday work are expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to de-escalate situations if necessary.
• Physically able to lift and work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Comfortable using point-of-sale software and tablets.
• Reliable, self-motivated with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to customers and donors.
• Receive, sort, price and merchandise donated goods.
• Process sales and handle cash with accuracy.
• Keep the store well presented, stocked and tidy.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and procedures.
