Job summary

sKids is seeking a Casual Programme Assistant for afternoon/after-school shifts at our Ohope site in New Zealand. You will be the friendly face who helps run engaging, safe activities for Tamariki and ensure spaces are welcoming and tidy.

The role is on a rostered, as-needed basis with a focus on afternoons and potential holiday programme hours. Responsibilities include supervising children, supporting the Programme Manager to keep sessions energetic, and quickly spotting any safety or wellbeing

Qualifications

• Must have the right to work in New Zealand
• Must be able to travel to the Ohope site
• Enthusiastic about working with children – babysitting, coaching or volunteering all count
• Reliable, energetic and keen to make every session special

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Tamariki during fun, safe activities
• Keep spaces tidy, clean, and welcoming for children
• Help Programme Manager run smooth, energetic sessions
• Identify hiccups (behaviour, wellbeing, safety) and report to the manager
