Job summary

Tradestaff Hamilton is seeking experienced Carpenters for a range of projects across Hamilton and the wider Waikato. We’re after reliable tradies who can hit the ground running and work confidently across residential, commercial and construction projects.

Location: Hamilton & surrounding Waikato. Pay: Competitive rates based on experience. Weekly pay and support from the Tradestaff Hamilton team.

Qualifications

• Proven carpentry experience; trade qualification or strong relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret building plans.
• Own basic hand tools and reliable transport.
• Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• General carpentry across residential and commercial projects.
• Framing, flooring, cladding and finishing work.
• Installing doors, windows, skirting and other fixtures.
• Reading and working from plans and drawings.
• Measuring, cutting and assembling timber and building materials.
• Renovation, maintenance and new-build work.
• Formwork and concrete-related carpentry where required.
• Operating hand and power tools safely.
• Working alongside other trades and site teams.
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and site safety.

What you’ll be doing:

• General carpentry across residential and commercial projects

What we’re looking for:

• Proven carpentry experience
• Trade qualification or strong relevant experience
• Confident working independently and as part of a team
• Ability to read and interpret building plans
• Own basic hand tools
• Reliable transport and a valid driver licence preferred
• Good understanding of NZ construction and health and safety practices
• Reliable, hardworking and able to turn up ready to work
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
