Job summary

Tradestaff is seeking skilled carpenters for Gisborne with work across residential, commercial and civil projects. You will predominantly work in Gisborne, with possible assignments in Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Manawatu-Whanganui.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of carpentry experience, own tools, reliable transport, two references and a strong commitment to health and safety. Pre-employment drug testing will be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' relevant carpentry experience.
• NZQF Level 4 qualification or overseas equivalent.
• Own hand and power tools.
• Reliable transport.
• Two work references.
• 100% commitment to health & safety.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Residential, commercial & civil carpentry work.
• 1st, 2nd & final fix tasks.
• Reading plans and following specifications.
• Shuttering joinery & steel tying.
• Framing, subflooring, cladding, and roof framing.
• Concrete formwork is a bonus.

Experienced Carpenter ready for your next challenge?

We’ve got a range of roles across the Gisborne region for skilled and experienced carpenters who know their way around residential, commercial, and civil projects.

Gisborne will be the predominant region of work for this role, however you may also be required to work in the Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Manawatu-Whanganui regions - this will be discussed further with the successful applicant.

What you’ll be doing:

We’re looking for carpenters confident in:

• Residential, commercial & civil carpentry
• 1st, 2nd & final fix
• Reading plans and following specifications
• Shuttering joinery & steel tying
• Framing, subflooring, cladding, and roof framing
• Concrete formwork (a bonus)

Whether you're building new homes, working on commercial interiors, or supporting civil infrastructure, your skills will be put to good use.

What we’re after:

• A minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience, or
• A relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification (or an overseas qualification recognised by NZQA as comparable).
