Job summary

Tradestaff is seeking experienced Carpenter/Joiners for Hawke’s Bay and surrounding regions, with work spanning residential builds to commercial fit-outs and precise joinery. You’ll travel to Auckland and other regions as projects require, using your own tools and reliable transport.

The role involves first through final fix carpentry, reading plans, fabricating and fitting timber features, and ensuring high safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' relevant work experience, or NZQF Level 4 qualification (or overseas qualification recognised by NZQA).
• Your own hand and power tools.
• Reliable transport.
• Two solid work references.
• Strong commitment to Health & Safety.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Residential, commercial & civil carpentry and joinery work.
• 1st, 2nd & final fix carpentry and joinery duties.
• Reading and working from plans, specifications & drawings.
• Fabricating, installing, and repairing joinery components (doors, windows, staircases, cabinetry, timber features).
• Framing, subflooring, cladding & roof work.
• Precision fitting and finishing of timber and composite materials.
• Shuttering joinery & steel tying.
• Operating power tools and machinery relevant to carpentry and joinery.

Carpenter/Joiners Wanted – Hawkes Bay, New Zealand

We’re looking for experienced Carpenter/Joiners who are confident in both carpentry and joinery duties to join our Hawkes Bay team.

Auckland will be the predominant region of work for this role, however you may also be required to work in Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Auckland, Gisborne, Manawatu-Whanganui and Wellington regions. This will be discussed further with the successful applicant.
