Job summary

Finest Flooring Limited in Auckland seeks experienced Carpenters to join our team. You will read blueprints, measure precisely, fit flooring and timber structures, and ensure quality finishes on site. The role requires physically fit individuals with attention to detail, reliability, and a can-do attitude, with on-the-job training provided.

Minimum 30 hours per week and competitive hourly pay between $26 and $35. Join a well-established construction company delivering projects across Auckland.

Responsibilities

• Uses building blueprints and diagrams to determine the proper dimensions, shape and design of a form structure.
• Select and work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, concrete
• Build timber and concrete forms and structures
• Prepare subfloor surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and carrying out necessary repairs to ensure suitability for installation
• Use precise measurements to cut and assemble boards, timbers or plywood to the necessary size
• Cut, shape, and fit flooring materials using hand and power tools with precision
• Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures
• Secure the form with nails, bolts, screws or anchor rods.
• Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure
• Install skirting boards, trims, and other finishing components to achieve a high-quality finish
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and client expectations

Salary Range: $26-35 per hour

Location: In Auckland range
