Finest Flooring Ltd is a well-established construction company. We are looking for Carpenters to join our team.
Salary Range: $26-35 per hour
Location: In Auckland range
Minimum hours per week: 30 hours at least
What you'll need to succeed:
One of the following:
Bachelor or higher degree in any major
On-job training will be provided
Honest, reliable, hardworking with a 'can do' attitude and willing to learn
Attention to detail and able to see projects through to completion
Excellent work ethic and great time management
Passion for the industry
Being physically fit
Must not have any criminal record
The role will include, but not limited to:
Uses building blueprints and diagrams to determine the proper dimensions, shape and design of a form structure.
Select and work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, concrete
Build timber and concrete forms and structures
Prepare subfloor surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and carrying out necessary repairs to ensure suitability for installation
Use precise measurements to cut and assemble boards, timbers or plywood to the necessary size
Cut, shape, and fit flooring materials using hand and power tools with precision
Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures
Secure the form with nails, bolts, screws or anchor rods.
Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure
Install skirting boards, trims, and other finishing components to achieve a high-quality finish
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and client expectations
