Job summary

New Zealand Careers Limited - Bay of Plenty is seeking permanent, full-time carpenters with a minimum of 2 years’ carpentry experience (residential or commercial). Roles may require occasional travel with travel costs covered by the employer.

Candidates must provide two references, a clean criminal record and a valid driver’s licence. The successful applicants will demonstrate strong carpentry skills, plan reading, material layout and precise fitting and finishing on various construction

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years carpentry experience
• Ability to read plans and specifications
• Experience with material selection and layout
• Fitting, cutting, laminating and shaping construction materials
• Loading/unloading materials and tools
• Mixing concrete with portable mixers

Responsibilities

• May order/select timbers and materials and prepare layouts
• Carry out fitting, cutting, laminating, and shaping different materials
• Handle loading/unloading of materials, machinery and tools at sites

The roles are permanent, full-time employment with a minimum of 30 hours of work per week guaranteed.

The successful candidates must have at least 2 years of carpentry experience, residential or commercial. The role may require you to travel out of town from time to time; the employer will pay for the travel costs.

You must have at least 2 contactable references, a clean criminal record and a driver's license.
