Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking experienced carpenters for permanent full-time roles in Marlborough, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week. You will work on residential or commercial projects and may travel as needed, with travel costs paid by the employer.

Applicants should have at least 2 years carpentry experience, two references, a clean criminal record and a valid driver's license. Other duties will be discussed with successful candidates.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and specifications to determine required materials, dimensions and installation.
• Order or select timbers and materials and prepare layouts.
• Fit, cut, laminate, and shape construction materials.
• Load and unload building materials, machinery and tools and distribute them to sites.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete/other aggregates using portable mixers.
• Other carpentry duties as discussed with successful candidates.
