Job summary

Topserve Skilled Manpower Solutions & Management Services Nz in Auckland seeks a skilled carpenter to join our residential construction team. You will contribute to renovations, new builds, and retrofits, working alongside other carpenters on-site across Auckland and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities include constructing and finishing wood structures, reading plans, installing windows and doors, and maintaining accurate logs. A practical toolset and ability to pass checks are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a team or autonomously.
• Own set of hand and power tools needed.
• Pass pre-employment drug & MOJ check.
• NZ Residents or Working Visa required.

Job description

This role plays a key function in delivering outstanding customer care as well as contributes to strengthening the construction team in the discharge of its duties and responsibilities.

Main tasks:

• All Residential Work - Renovations & New Builds
• To help on a variety of residential projects in Auckland and surrounding areas.
• You will be working alongside other Carpenters on various new builds, renovation, and retrofits on properties across Auckland and surrounding areas.
• This work will include all aspects of general and finishing carpentry on all residential sites.
• Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records
• Offer consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures to machine and vehicle users
• Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary.

Job requirements:

• Valid site safe passport advantageous
• Own set of hand and power tools needed
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug & MOJ check

Skills and knowledge:

• Building and carpentry skills
• Knowledge of building methods and materials
• Able to study building plans and architectural drawings
• Select building materials and measure and cut materials to the right size and shape
• Able to construct building frames and install cladding on the inside and outside of buildings
• Install windows, staircases, and doors
• Renovate and do repair work on older houses.
• A basic level of maths
• Able to correctly use and maintain toolsAn understanding of building and safety regulations.

Remuneration: $29.66 per hour
Working Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday
40 hours per week
