Job summary

Oranga Tamariki is seeking Allied Support Workers to back frontline Social Work teams across sites. You will support caregiver recruitment, engagement and training coordination, and assist with placements and caregiver support.

This permanent role is non-regulated and involves travel across the region. A clean, current driver’s licence is essential, and the remuneration starts at $68,371 to $75,501 NZD with strong training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Experience working in community settings.
Ability to work with Māori and/or Pasifika cultures.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with peers and stakeholders.
Demonstrated empathy and resilience in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

Provide regional support across the area based on priorities and service demand, with possible travel.
Support caregiver engagement, outreach and recruitment activities.
Coordinate caregiver training and learning initiatives.
Assist with caregiver assessments, approvals and ongoing support.
Assist with placement coordination and caregiver matching.
Build positive relationships with caregivers, whānau, communities and internal stakeholders.
May require work outside normal hours occasionally.
