Job summary

Summerset Casebrook Village in Christchurch is seeking a caring part-time Caregiver to support residents with daily living and activities. You will be part of a team dedicated to safety, health and enjoyment, helping with meals, personal care and everyday tasks.

The role is fixed-term until 17 February 2027 with a Tuesday to Saturday roster from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, totaling 27.5 hours per week. Experience in aged care is valued and NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Empathetic and patient caregiver with a focus on resident well-being.
• Strong verbal communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience in aged care or similar roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering.
• Assist with individual care plan activities, like walks and exercises.
• Help with activities such as puzzles and table tennis.

This is a part-time and fixed term position ending on the 17th of February 2027. The roster is Tuesday to Saturday from 7.00 am to 1.00 pm, working 27.5 hours weekly.

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3
