Job summary

Summerset Milldale is opening a brand-new care centre and seeks a compassionate Caregiver to join the team at Milldale Village. You’ll help deliver personal care and support residents with daily activities, in a state-of-the-art environment.

Typical duties include meals, hygiene, assisting with care plans, and activities. Training begins 22 February 2027, 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday, ahead of the centre opening.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an aged care or similar setting.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts.
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off.
• Health and Wellbeing Certificate Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent).

Summerset Milldale is preparing to open its brand-new care centre – a premium facility nested in a picturesque, established village poised to become the heart of aged care in the region. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something special from the very beginning, where you’ll help deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a state-of-the-art environment.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Milldale Villageyou will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

3 weeks of paid, onsite training begins on 22 February 2027, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, ahead of the care centre's official opening.

This is a part-time position working 7:00am – 3:00pm on a 3 days on, 3 days off rotating roster, with 22.5 to 30 hours per week.

We’ll be in touch with shortlisted candidates before Christmas, with interviews taking place in January 2027.

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.
