Job summary

Bupa Waikanae is seeking Caregivers to support residents with daily living and personal care in a warm, home-like environment. You will work under the guidance of nursing staff to deliver person-first care aligned with individual care plans.

This casual role offers flexibility with no guaranteed hours per week, and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents and their families while contributing to a supportive team atmosphere.

Qualifications

  • An NZQA Health and Wellbeing Certificate Level 2-4 is preferred.
  • Ideally you will have a minimum of 1 year of experience within aged care.
  • Demonstrate genuine enthusiasm, dedication to care, and passion for enriching the lives of the elderly.
  • Confident communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in NZ.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance with daily living, whilst treating residents with respect and dignity.
  • Mobility assistance in accordance with resident care plans.
  • Maintain accurate health care documentation as required.
  • Encourage all residents to participate in scheduled social activities.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive, safe, home environment for residents, visitors, and the wider team.

Job description

As a Caregiver at Bupa, you will work under the guidance and supervision of qualified nursing staff and management, to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents. You will be encouraged to develop deeper relationships with residents and their families, delivering the highest quality person first care to residents in line with their individual care plan.

This is a casual role, meaning no guaranteed hours per week.
