Job summary

Adecco in partnership with a well-established aged care facility in Central Auckland is seeking an experienced Care Home Manager. You will lead operations, clinical care, budgets, and people, building on a strong reputation for quality and resident wellbeing.

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will supervise hospital-level and dementia care, drive compliance, and foster engagement across residents, families and staff. NZ Registered Nurse APC and senior leadership in aged care are essential.

Qualifications

• NZ Registered Nurse with leadership experience in aged care.
• Experience overseeing hospital-level and dementia care services.
• Strong financial and operational management capabilities.
• Solid understanding of quality systems and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and strategic objectives of the care home.

Following a long and successful tenure of the current Care Home Manager, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced leader to step into this well-established and highly regarded aged care facility in Central Auckland.

We are seeking a compassionate, commercially minded, and clinically credible leader to become the next safe pair of hands for a home that has built a strong reputation for quality care, stability, and resident wellbeing.

Providing both hospital-level and dementia care, the facility is supported by an experienced team and a collaborative regional leadership structure. This role offers the chance to build on an already strong foundation while bringing your own leadership style, ideas, and expertise to the next chapter of the home's success.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational, clinical, financial, and people leadership of the facility.

As a visible and approachable leader, you will inspire your team to deliver exceptional resident outcomes while ensuring the home continues to perform strongly across quality, compliance, occupancy, and financial measures.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You will be an experienced leader with the ability to balance excellent clinical care with sound business management.

You will bring:

• Current New Zealand Registered Nurse APC
• Leadership experience within aged care, health, or a related sector
• Experience overseeing hospital-level and dementia care services
• Strong financial and operational management capability
• Sound understanding of quality systems, clinical governance, and compliance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A collaborative, resident-focused leadership style
